Today marks the 137th annual White House Easter Egg Roll. It’s an exciting day when approximately 35,000 people from across the country come to the White House South Lawn to participate in the event.

The theme for this year’s Easter Egg Roll is #GimmeFive. Over the past few months as part of the fifth anniversary of Let’s Move!, the First Lady has been challenging Americans to #GimmeFive things they are doing to eat better, be more active, and lead a healthier life. We have seen families, schools, organizations, and even celebrities and professional athletes get involved in the challenge, and we can’t wait to see everyone at the Easter Egg Roll join in too!

Across the South Lawn, activities promote a healthy lifestyle for kids and families including everything from yoga, basketball, tennis, and other active games to cooking demonstrations and opportunities to learn about healthy eating. There will also be music to dance to all day long, including a special performance of the #GimmeFive dance with the First Lady and So You Think You Can Dance All Stars.
